Lee Jay Bamberry brings over 25 years of distinguished experience across film, television, and theatre as a multidisciplinary artist. His extensive credits span performance, direction, writing, and production, establishing him as a dynamic force in Canadian storytelling. Over the past decade, Lee Jay has written, directed, and toured a series of original works addressing urgent social issues including addiction, systemic abuse, abduction, and mental health. His theatrical productions combine artistic excellence with community engagement, creating platforms for dialogue and healing.
As an educator and curriculum developer, Lee Jay has pioneered The Art of Story—an innovative pedagogical approach integrating voice, body, mind, and emotion. This methodology has been implemented across multiple institutions throughout British Columbia, serving students pursuing careers in performance and multimedia arts.
His specialized Art & Performance Intensive Workshops provide immersive training experiences designed for touring productions and community-based theatrical initiatives.
Lee Jay's Esgenoôpetitj First Nation heritage centers on intergenerational collaboration and mentorship. Working alongside his wife and their six children, he creates art that bridges personal narrative with collective experience. His YOUTHEATRE initiative fosters creative communities where emerging artists develop authentic voices and transformative storytelling skills.
